List of pre-registered substances

This list was produced on the basis of the information contained in the pre-registrations submitted by companies. It is an updated version of the preliminary list of substances which were pre-registered by companies before 1 December 2008. It simply shows the entire list of the substances, around 143 000 of them, pre-registered by some 65 000 companies. ECHA can therefore neither guarantee the accuracy nor the validity of the information submitted.

How can I use it?
You can search it to find a substance with a view to eventually joining a Substance Information Exchange Forum (SIEF) with pre-registrants of the same substance. You can search using a number, the substance's name (or part of it), or a synonym. If you can't find your substance after searching, all is not lost. You can try to identify the most appropriate SIEF by using the "similar to" search on REACH-IT.
Alternatively, if you are a downstream user of a substance which doesn’t appear on the list, you may notify ECHA of your interest and we will invite potential registrants of that substance to come forward.
Downloading the list
The complete list of pre-registered substances is too large to be displayed on this page. You can export the list as a comma-separated file (CSV format) or in XML format (encoded in UTF-8) and read it with other software like the common spreadsheet or word processing programmes.
